Training, Halaxy, GoFax, and Workflow Updates

This update introduces a much broader in-app learning experience, adds deep Halaxy connectivity, a complete GoFax integration, and a set of practical improvements across everyday workflows.

Learn Clinically inside Clinically

Training is now available from the help menu, giving staff a structured learning plan that reflects the parts of Clinically they can use. Lessons are allocated based on the user's role automatically.

The catalogue contains over three dozen modules covering getting started, documents and referrals, patients, appointment requests, communication, worklists and workflows, practice setup, forms and letters, administration, and other day-to-day areas.

Lessons combine clear explanations with narrated (and captioned) videos, guided tours, practical checks, and quizzes. Where a lesson needs practice data, Clinically can prepare safe training records so staff can learn a workflow without affecting real patient activity or sending real communications.

Organisation managers also have a Team training dashboard. It shows each team member’s assigned plan and overall progress, with a detailed view of completed and outstanding lessons.

Connect Clinically with Halaxy

Practices using [Halaxy] (https://halaxy.com) can now connect it as their Electronic Medical Record system from Settings > Integrations > EMR Integration.

The connection supports a comprehensive range of coordinated workflows:

  • Find and link existing Halaxy patients, or create and update patient records when authorised.
  • Synchronise practitioner and organisation directory information.
  • File clinical documents and referrals into Halaxy.
  • Create, update, import, and cancel linked appointments.
  • Receive Halaxy patient and appointment changes through practice-specific webhooks.
  • Reconcile incoming changes safely when Clinically and Halaxy records do not match automatically.

Practices can choose which supported operations are active instead of treating the integration as a single all-or-nothing switch.

Send and receive faxes through your own GoFax account

Practices can now connect [GoFax] (https://gofax.com.au) from Settings > Integrations > Connect GoFax.

GoFax can deliver received faxes directly into the Clinical Inbox, ready for the same processing workflow as other incoming documents, bypassing the email step entirely.

Practices can also choose to send outgoing faxes through their own GoFax account, instead of using Clinically's fax integration.

All you need to do is grab a GoFax API key from your GoFax account, paste it into Clinically -> Integrations -> Fax Settings -> Connect GoFax and Clinically will do the rest.

More reliable everyday workflows

A further set of improvements makes common practice workflows easier to manage:

  • Practice Inbox: improved Microsoft 365 mailbox setup and reconnection, clearer settings, safer polling, and printable conversations, messages, and attachments. Internal notes stay out of printouts by default.
  • Worklists and forms: saved worklist views can be renamed and updated in place, and form designers are warned when required submission fields have not been mapped.
  • Provider Directory: national directory results are available directly from practitioner and organisation searches, making it easier to add verified provider details without re-keying them.

Availability

Training content is tailored to each person’s permissions and the features enabled for their organisation. Halaxy, GoFax, Practice Inbox, correspondence, directory, and workflow tools appear only where the relevant feature is enabled and the user has the required access. As always, these core add ons come at no additional cost.
